Ty started his career with American Airlines in Port of Spain and later migrated to Washington DC to pursue a BA in Advertising and MA in International Commerce and Public Policy from George Mason University. He worked his way up the ranks at American Airlines to Branch Manager and eventually head of Business Development. Ty was relocated to Dublin, Ireland where he oversaw all call center operations across Europe & Asia Pacific for American Airlines. It was then that Ty completed his PhD in Organization and Management. After 14 years with American Airlines, Ty launched a social network start-up, wrote several books and launched a Caribbean-based marketing agency working with clients such as Coca Cola, Microsoft, Cable and Wireless. Ty also launched a global consultancy connecting large-scaled projects to capital and subsequently, a second commercial loan brokerage supporting US clients. In 2018, Ty became a Gallup-certified strengths-based coach and began working with leaders at the Caribbean's largest investment bank. Today, Ty lives in Fort Lauderdale and is heavily involved in his local community boards, is an avid traveler and cook and passionate about fitness.
